Type SRI
The sealing element consists of preformed, V-shaped metallic windings with soft sealing fillers, commonly Graphite and PTFE. SWG's boast excellent compressibility and recovery due to their construction. Our Leader Style SRI SWG's come with inner and outer guide rings and are suitable for ASME B16.5 raised faced flanges up to 2500lbs and EN/DIN flanges up to PN400.
Type SI
The sealing element comprises preformed V-shaped metallic windings with soft sealing fillers, typically graphite or PTFE. Standard materials include SS316L for winding and inner ring. SWG's offer exceptional compressibility and recovery due to their construction. Our Leader Style SI SWG's come with an inner ring and are suitable for ASME B16.5 tongue and groove or male/female (Spigot to Recess) flanges. Also available for Heat Exchanger applications.
Type SR
The sealing element comprises preformed V-shaped metallic windings with soft sealing fillers like Graphite and PTFE, ensuring excellent compressibility and recovery. Our Leader Style SR SWG's come with an outer guide ring and are compatible with ASME B16.5 raised faced flanges up to 600lbs and EN/DIN flanges up to PN40. For best results, we strongly advise using SRI gaskets with an inner guide ring in all applications.
Type S
The sealing element consists of preformed V-shaped metallic windings with soft sealing fillers like graphite or PTFE, providing excellent compressibility and recovery. Our Leader Style S SWG's come with the sealing element only and are suitable for ASME B16.5 tongue and groove or male/female (Spigot to Recess) flanges up to 2500lbs, commonly used in pumps and valves.
LeaderTHERM
LeaderTHERM Sheet, comprised of impregnated phlogopite mica flake structure, offers exceptional thermal and chemical resistance. Mica, an aluminosilicate mineral, serves as a reliable alternative to asbestos in high-temperature environments. With minimal weight loss at 800°C (1472°F) and resistance to solvents, acids, bases, and mineral oils, LeaderTHERM Sheet is ideal for temperatures up to 1800°F. It's versatile, usable as a sheet material, filler for spiral wound gaskets, or facing for kammprofiles, providing excellent resistance to high temperatures and effective sealability at moderate pressures.
